The pages of history are littered with the names of powerful men. But from time to time, there have been women who have shone out as being equally powerful as the men. Some of whom have even gone on to shape the future of the world as we know it.They are the smartest and toughest female business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, scientists, philanthropists and CEOs making their mark in the world today. These are the women who are building billion-dollar brands, calling the shots in the financial markets, and providing aid.

According to the Pew Research Center, since 2005, the number of women who were world business leaders, presidents or heads of state had more than doubled by last year. Their relentless zeal, incessant quench for success and willingness to walk the extra mile have broken all myths about their inborn limitations that were supposed to be major roadblocks on their success expressways. Let’s meet such 5 women who can be easily termed as role models for everyone.

 

Angela Merkel –She is the First Chancellor of Germany. Merkel guided her country through a recession with stimulus packages and subsidies for companies that cut hours for workers, with Germany entering 2016 with a budget surplus of 12.1 billion euros ($13.1 billion) and an AAA rating from credit rating agencies.1

 

 

Nita Ambani – She is the chairperson and founder of Reliance Foundation and a non-executive director of Reliance Industries. She is married to Reliance Industries chairman and managing director MukeshAmbani. . She launched the Health For All initiative through community outreach programmes around the hospitals for the underprivileged. Reliance Foundation has touched over 4.5 million lives till date.

Hillary Clinton – Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton is an American politician and the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party for President of the United States in the 2016 election.She served as the 67th United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013, First Lady of the United States during the presidency of Bill Clinton from 1993 to 2001, and First Lady of Arkansas from 1983 to 1992.
