She was always inspired, but this time made the inspiration alive on runway. Designer Deepika Govind’s memorable project ‘An Ode to Hampi, was recently showcased at Bangalore Fashion Week. The collection was duly concentrated on her interpretation of bazaars of Hampi with her own quirky twist.
What we loved about the collection was innovative drapes and styling of the same. They looked very much functional and at the same time innovative in terms of patterns. The tangerine pleated dress with a dupatta draped in Egyptian drape style was refreshing and elegant for a homely affair.
The balancing factor of prints and solid colors made the collection visually appealing and smooth in flow. With minimal make-up and statement accessory Deepika had tried to focus on styling and draping which is commendable and a refreshing.
