First off tell us how you were “discovered” and how your modeling career all started?

It started very spontaneously and randomly as i started competing in online competitions and won for Unistyle image and Ibibo I-hunk and from there on done about 65-70 campaigns

What has been your favorite shoot / campaign / work to date?

I cherish all the shoots I’ve done so far and have the same passion and excitement as if I’m shooting for the first time but on current basis it has to be the one for The Suryaa Hotel, New Delhi. Since I am the Brand Ambassador of the hotel and it was my dream to be one someday.

How would you describe your personal style, Where do you pull your inspiration from?

I think everyone has their own style statement and should be comfortable and confident in whatever they wear ..but still I’m a huge shades lover i love my RayBan collection.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I don’t know weather its hidden or not (laughs) but I’ve represented the Delhi cricket team for seven years at the under 17,19,22 and Ranji trophy respectively.. And also captained my state in 2010.

Sometimes the modeling industry gets a bad rap with the jealousy and egos encountered between other models and agencies. Was this true for you? Have you managed to tough it out and make good friends? Is modeling an easy job or more strenuous than people realize (How so)?

That’s a very good question you have asked; yes most people in our industry are jealous and insecure of each other so its very difficult whom to trust but spending a few years in this industry I have figured out what I need to do . I just focus on my work and yet at the same time help as many people as possible. Good and bad people exist in every industry so its part and parcel of work you just need to be with the right company. Talking about modelling and acting, yes its a very misunderstood industry and seems easier and comfortable than what it is in reality, it requires a lot of hard work, dedication, passion and most importantly patience.you have to be careful with whom to deal, what to say and where to go. You need to be street smart yet talented to survive here .

Five things you can’t live without?

Family, cricket and work are most important for me
