The extravagant wedding ceremony of the very talented singer turned politician Babul Supriyo on 9th August 2016 marked the significant celebration of two Kolkatta families in the capital city New Delhi. The royal affair witnessed the unique union of two beautiful souls who met through a beautiful course of time. Rachna, the bell betterhalf of the dynamic Supriyo turned into the mysical soiree attended by the much-celebrated faces in tinsel town including Hema Malini and honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Rachna, a Delhi-based air hostess with Jet Airways, was on the flight Babul had once boarded from Kolkata to Mumbai. On board the flight, Babul struck a conversation with the air hostess, and thus began a journey which has now reached the altar.
In June this year, Babul revealed the whats and hows of his relationship with Rachna. He said, “For the last two years, my fate seems to have been circling in the air. Strange things are happening 30-35,000 ft above the sea level. Seems like someone is sitting up there and writing the script of my life.”
Babul also spilled the beans on what he loves the most about his wife-to-be back then. “Complete simplicity. In my complex life, this is the only X-factor,” said the musician-turned-politician.
Babul and Rachna Supriyo have the next five years of their life planned. Their first anniversary celebrations are to take place in Kolkata, and the fifth anniversary will be celebrated in Mumbai. Given that their fates were decided on board a flight from Kolkata to Mumbai, the celebrations in these two cities are but understandable.
Babul was earlier married to Rhea, with whom he has a daughter, Sharmilee.
