This Photo Series on Rising Sexual Violence is What We Need to Stop

Over the past few years, sexual assault and rape have been given much more dialogue than ever before (even though we have a long way to go, still). Even though sexual violence is being actively spoken about, not much is changing, and the negative attitude towards sexual assault victims is pretty much the same as it was decades ago.

No matter how much we try to the blame victims, their attire, situation, environment, and so on, we know that the only one to blame is the perpetrator and perpetrator alone. Anyone can be a victim of sexual violence no matter what their age, gender, class, or race is, and there is never a prescribed time, reason, or place for sexual assault as much as politicians would like you to believe otherwise.
