So, as the year 2020 dawn on us, automobile manufacturers usually make
new product launches with the launch of the New year usually around
Auto Expo 2020 in Pragati Maidan and elsewhere, and this year is no
exception with less than sixteen hours remaining for the launch of the
Tata Altroz, priced around INR 500,000 to 800,000, which will compete
with the likes of Ford Freestyle, and the facelifted Maruti Suzuki
Baleno. With decent Specs, this one may not invade Baleno’s space, as
the Baleno also appears in Toyota’s Yaris Platform.
Also getting facelifts will be the Tata Nexon, Tiago, Tigor, Wagon R,
and certain others.
But launching as an all EV vehicle will be the MG ZS EV at around INR
2000,000 or INR twenty lakhs, with huge stowage climate control, in
built sim card for the Navigation Console, which can also connect to Wi
Fi when available, with 5 star NCAPP safety ratings, hill hold, hill
climb, six air bags, in built 2.5 PM filter, this one is bound to
popular especially with its long distance range.
There’s 343 NM of instantaneous torque available which means the electric motor on this EV which charges at home in around 8 hours will
give you a 134 bhp of electric revving.
So should you buy one? No, even if you are willing to wait a few
months for current booking to complete, cause the battery is really
expensive, and India currently lack government incentives and
subsidies and support for EVs.

In fact the Kia Carnival may just usurp some MG ZS EV potential
buyers, which similarly priced or similar specced, Kia Seltos, Lexus
LC 500 h or others.
