Multimasking Technique is the Latest Beauty Trend

We’ve been chiseling our cheekbones all Summer long using the tontouring technique, but after seeing makeup artist Farah Dukhai’s genius Instagram post, we may switch to multimasking to contour. It may sound impossible, but she proved that using a duo of brightening and tightening treatments can visibly highlight and sculpt the face . . . no makeup necessary!

Check this out:

💡💀HIGHLIGHT AND CONTOUR with NO MAKE UP!💀🔪 🔥I like to call this my “highlight and contour” mask, but this is also called multi-masking- where you use different masks for different “concerns” on your face. 🌝The white “highlight” mask BRIGHTENS and LIGHTENS to reveal a beautiful GLOW 🌚The brown “contour” mask TIGHTENS both masks also hydrate the skin and exfoliate but more on that later 🌟HIGHLIGHT MASK: 🔹Rose Petals (you can use fresh or dried, I used dried and crushed them) 🔹Honey – A little less than 1tbsp 🔹Yogurt – 1 tbsp ✅Apply to all the areas of your face that you want to brighten and “highlight” to get a natural glow 🍗CONTOUR MASK: 🔸Espresso/Coffee Brewed Grinds – 1tbsp 🔸Cacao Powder – Tbsp 🔸Honey – A little less than 1tbsp ✅Apply to all the areas of your face that you want to tighten to “contour” to look naturally chiseled 💨LET BOTH MASKS DRY COMPLETELY 💦WASH OFF WITH LUKEWARM WATER in CIRCULAR MOTIONS to EXFOLIATE (careful near your eyes) 🌬PAT DRY 💣BOOOOOOOM youll look naturally highlighted and contoured! “highlight” areas will look like theyre glowing and your “contoured” areas will feel tighttttttttttt and righttt ✌🏾️DO THIS TWICE A WEEK! ‼️✨WHY THIS WORKS!✨‼️ #1 HIGHLIGHT MASK -Yogurt has lactic acid which exfoliates to reveal bright and tight fresh skin – it also prevents wrinkles so its perfect for the undereye. Its also full of B vitamins so it makes your skin glowing and plump and hydrated -Rose water also brightens and tones the skin and makes it smoooooth -Honey is full of anti-oxidants and is so hydrating so it makes your skin glow #2 CONTOUR MASK -Espresso/Coffee the caffeine pulls excess moisture from the skin, making it look more firm and tight. This is the MAIN ingredient which gives the contoured effect. NO SUBSTITUTIONS -Cacao powder is a natural sunscreen and helps improve skin complexion. Full of vitamin C, and fatty acids that keep your skin healthy *you can use each mask on their own OR you can use them how I did as a highlight and contour* these masks also smell good enough to eat -youll smell like youre baking a delicious cake on your face! The efficacy all comes down to the ingredients. Her DIY illuminating mask contained yogurt, honey, and rose petals. These items all are deeply hydrating, but the yogurt is the most essential part of the mask: it contains lactic acid, which exfoliates skin and gives it a glow. The contouring treatment featured cacao powder and coffee grounds, which are both loaded with caffeine. According to Dukhai, caffeine draws excess water from the skin, causing you to appear less puffy and more sculpted.

Even better, these all-natural ingredients smell delectable. “You’ll smell like you’re baking a delicious cake on your face,” she noted in her comments. Well, we know what we have planned this weekend! See the incredible before-and-after in the video, then get inspired to whip up your own masks.
