The collection will include richly embellished gowns, lehengas with trails and structured tops and blouses. Layers of fabulous organza, tussar and crepe in pastel hues of baby pink, powder blue, light green and orange give the outfits a dreamy allure. Motifs of tropical flora; sharp, architectural cuts and asymmetrical detailing add a touch of edge to the collection. As with every season, the showcase will also present a capsule for grooms in the collection. For Summer/Resort 2016, Manish has crafted sharp jackets and kurtas, tailored pants and churidars in blue and ivory for the gentlemen for a refined look.

Speaking about the collection, Manish Malhotra said, “As my label turns a new decade, I am excited to unveil my Summer Resort 2016 Collection at Lakmé Fashion Week. Over the years each of my shows at Lakmé Fashion Week have grown to be landmark events in their own right. I am excited to be doing the LYF show this season. My collection ‘ELEMENTS’ is inspired by nature and brings out the dichotomy of beauty and power present in the four elements – Earth, Water, Air and Flame, much like the play of confidence and demureness; tradition and glamour that we see in a contemporary bride.”
