Every year, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi gives Ganpati devotees a chance to share their gratitude with the God of good luck, before sending their idol off into the sea. Another bonus of the 10-day celebrations: a chance to spend quality time with family and friends who come to visit.
This time around, the festival has been an eventful one for India’s Instagram stars. One of the sweetest celebrations had to be designer Manish Malhotra’s, who invited everyone from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Karisma Kapoor to seek blessings from the eco-friendly Ganpati idol he brought home this year, and that’s not where the guest list ends.
Joining Bachchan and Kapoor on the big day were Sonakshi Sinha, Lara Dutta Bhupati, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, Karan Johar, Urmila Matondkar, Monisha Jaising, Maheep Kapoor, Seema Khan, Anu Dewan and Ekta Kapoor.
