Just like every year, the ritual follows and takes us to the beautiful Eastern India’s biggest art fair: The India Story which observes a unique amalgamation of different cultures and traditions blending in perfectly.
Called the India Story, it brings out the best of India’s art, design, food and culture. An initiative by the Neotia Arts Trust, the event took place at Swabhumi Heritage Park in Kolkatta. The designer Rahul Mishra known for his offbeat and aesthetic fashion sense launched the event in glory with music composed by Shantanu moitra.
The festival celebrated the craftsmanship spirit adding to the modern Indian designs and the extravaganza has been curated by Abhilasha Sethia, Swarup Dutta and fashion designers Dev and Nil.
The opening night was a glamorous affair with the presence of designers like Anamika Khanna, Usha Uthup and danseuse Dona Ganguly.
On the opening night fashion designer Rahul Mishra showcased his 2016 Winter Collection asserting that white alongside black is here to rule this season. Pretty floral embroidery on band galas, flowy dresses accompanied by white pimsols and chic minimalistic look were the highlights of his show.
