Highlights of Day 2 at AIFW SS’18

From promising shades of future to forever black, the second day of AIFW SS’18 saw the full circle of fashion world combining the experimentation of young minds and expertise of veterans.

Ikai by Ragini Ahuja

A journey that started four years ago by this young designer, this season saw a promising future with the line-up packed with soft, voluminous silhouettes, which played with patterns that progressed from tribal motifs to contemporary graphics.  The colour story of the collection focused on ivory, navy, black and red signifying the strength and survival of the tribes.

Hemant & Nandita

Seems like next year fashion will continue to have the fragrances of floral. And the first clue came in view with Hemant & Nandita’s floral collection focused on broderie anglaise. The collection featured summer separates in a pretty palette of pale pink and blue. Knotted pussy bows and cascading frill caught our eyes that gave the vibrant collection a real twist.

Ashish N Soni

For Ashish N Soni black is forever. And it was quite visible when they choose the color to celebrate their 25th anniversary in the fashion industry. The collection was sharply tailored with androgynous separates (jumpsuits, blazer dresses and fierce suits) in the every-reigning hue. Asymmetric cuts, flowing capes and metallic embellishments were the key silhouettes of the spring/summer collection.
