On Monday, Durex announced a brand new, eggplant-flavored condom inspired by everyone’s favorite way to sext without actually using words. The internet immediately freaked out over the news, with most people either voicing their disgust or asking some more practical questions about how the eggplant was prepared, since flavored condoms can be very hit or miss.
But it wasn’t without its purpose: According to Twitter, they hoped the joke would help promote their campaign for a condom emoji, a project Durex launched last year on World AIDS Day.
