Take everything you know about fall make-up—the dark, broody colours; the shimmer shadow-bronzer OD; complicated hairdos—and throw it out the door. At Lakmé Fashion Week’s winter/festive 2016 edition, while we did spot some festive staples, the artists behind the beauty looks were definitely not going by the book.
Summer majors like pops of neon orange and pink; disheveled wash-and-dry hair (yes!); fresh, super-flushed cheeks and strobed highlights were seen alongside dramatic cat eyes; glittery ruby lips (inspired by this hot new Pat McGrath launch, perhaps?) and festive gold lids. Take a look for our pick of the hair and make-up looks spotted backstage at Lakmé Fashion Week winter/festive 2016.
Minimalism is the key here. Highlighter strobing and nude play can be seen which has illuminated the face and slick back your hair to keep it neat.
A hint of shimmer and bold lips flaunted at the Tarun Tahiliani show was worth a sight. Also, look at these messy waterfall curls secured with a headband.
Naturally flushing skin with blushed cheeks, top knots and rose lips ruled the ramps of Agni Myoho.
How can one go wrong with Manish Malhotra’s look. Slick back hair neatly with a hint of golden shimmer on upper eye lids to add that dramatic edge. Don’t miss out on their pink lips adding that glam factor.

Back to school essentials come with a color burst on these pretty faces. Team it with double knots or high ponytails.
Take this look at every special occasion. Highlight your skin with a dab of foundation and strobe it on the upper jaws for a illuminating effect. Give a slightly smoky eye look and play it nude or balance the lip look. A low bun with middle parting compliments this.
Bride warrior carry swords in their looks just like their eyes have been dramatic and winged to perfection. Dab layers of kohl for that bold effect and leave hair slightly open and style a loose ponytail.
A lot of metallic action can be seen in the Shantanu & Nikhil show with models wearing bold metallic eye makeup. Red tainted lips and headgear to add that right pinch of drama.
