As the showers bless us with easy-breezy weather, it’s time to ditch those flip-flops and embrace those pretty ornate juttis. Well, you can carry them with panache from desk to dinner easily and let them turn heads with envy 😉 We garnered some inputs from the best jutti traders in town and by traders, we mean the stalwarts who are promoting easy-peasy footwear to keep your feet happy (literally we mean) 😀
So, let’s take a look at what they have to say-
Needledust
A premier Jutti brand that speaks volume about it’s evolution, handcrafted by the finest artisans, it casts a spell like none other! A royal feeling imbibes you once you enter their elegant store situated in the heart of Shahpur Jat. The threshold reflecting the sheer beauty of leather juttis and dreamy walls adorned with delicate butterfly motifs. As the cascading lights pave a way to an array of juttis from work to parties and weddings too! Yes, the owner Shirin Mann, initiated her journey to Needledust at the time of her wedding when she wanted to design and own a perfect pair of wedding shoes. But, as the fate decides, she had to design them herself and the rest remains history.
On asking Manik, the designer behind bespoke and charming juttis, about the onset of ‘Jutti Trend’, she said …’ Juttis add a touch of modernity to the traditional footwear by playing with florals and pastels or adding embellishments like small ghungroos’. She further added, ‘Pops of color like oranges, reds and roses works best for weddings and even for the less festive occasions, accessorizing it right is the key’ on being asked about the Juttis emerging as popular wedding shoes for brides.
We bet your heart will melt even by a single glance at these exquisitely crafted Juttis by Needledust. So, all we have are these yummy scrumptious pictures for you to satiate your #TuesdayShoesday appetite.
Al Artz
A pop of quirk never hurts anyone and when you wish to play with graphics, colors, eccentricity and all things sassy, you cannot afford to miss this artsy and cutesy brand by Alisha Bhasin. The quirky store with colorful girl graffiti is all you need to search for in Shahpur Jat and voila, you’re at Al Artz. For the love of painting and creativity, Alisha followed her passion to recreate magic in her shoes. The sheer imagination and an element of fun personality is what describe the girl who studied Masters in Financial Planning (serious stuff, right!) Not that her forte remains shoe designing but this young pretty girl expanded her vision and mission to other arenas like wall paintings, murals, pillows, showpieces, etc.
Surprisingly, we loved every piece at the store for obvious reasons but if you’re someone who loves to experiment and won’t mind taking a few risks, then it’s certainly for YOU! Imagine heading for a brunch date with a flowy dress and pumps with motifs of a Superwoman on one and Marilyn painted on another, how’ it? We adore that, undoubtedly!
The price is not going to hurt your pockets too, shelling INR 1500 for a pair of quirky footwear is a fair deal. So, next time when you hop to this store, don’t forget to share with us your feedback.
