A fasting break of around three days is more than enough to generate the fresh body cells. Though majorly it is believed that fasting in any way harms the body, this study suggests an entirely opposite view. A fasting of few days has been proven to be good for the elderly people. Scientists at the University of Southern California say the discovery could be particularly beneficial for people suffering from damaged immune systems, such as cancer patients on chemotherapy.
